It’s the first Friday of August and we’re ready to celebrate by listening to some new music from our favorite artists.
"COASTIN'" - VICTORIA MONET
Victoria Monet has returned with a fun and sexy new track. “Coastin'” has an infectious 80s funk vibe that interpolates “All Night Long” by the Mary Jane Girls. In a press release, Victoria Monet states: “If sunshine and a good time (and maybe a lil drank) were a song, it would be ‘Coastin’. It’s made for people with that good, chill energy and the bassline instantly puts you in a certain feel! Shoutout to the Stereotypes for killing this production. We wanted this song to represent that freedom to finally go outside. After the year we’ve had, it feels even better to be able to finally Coast freely, make unforgettable memories and have a good ass time. Might I add it sounds especially good in the car, poolside or near any beach. Press play and let’s Coast!” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. This song definitely encapsulates a good time.
"JUNO" - BLACKSTARKIDS
BLACKSTARKIDS released the first track from their upcoming album, Puppies Forever, titled “JUNO”. It’s a nostalgia-fueled indie-pop song with 90s alt rock/2000s pop influences. In a statement, BLACKSTARKIDS say that “JUNO” is “a really honest reflection of how we were feeling at the time of working on the album, which is why we wanted to lead with it. In context of the album, it’s one of the more personal and reflective moments.”

"WALK THE BEAT" - TIERRA WHACK
Get your model walk ready because Tierra Whack is back with a house-inspired ode to fashion titled “Walk The Beat”. This track is dripping in opulence, clever wordplay, and designer shout outs from Alexander Wang to Helmut Lang.
“Walk The Beat” is Whack’s second solo single of this year. Back in April, she released “Link”. Hopefully these releases lead up to a new project.
